This is the only power failure device with plug detection; if your plug becomes unplugged from the power fail alarm itself, this is detected electrically and the alarm sounds.
Simple installation, just pop in the (included) long-life lithium battery. After that you are protected for the next 10 years.
Used with a power fail alarm the siren alert produces a whooping tone in an on-off pattern. (500ms on/500ms off) This allows a single 9V battery to last approximately 12 hours.
Flexible logic settings so the siren alert can go off for 30 minutes following an incident and automatically silence itself. An (optional) auxilliary alarm that draws much less power can then run continuously. Alarm time with a setup like this would be 72 hours. more about battery power
Includes an outuput which is slectable hoice of choice of contact closure or 9V output (both 5 second duration) is easy to change in the field.

Auxiliary output can trigger an autodialer, wireless transmitter, or other remote devices. Can either supply a 5 second contact closure or 9V output.
Sound level is 110dB at 1m.
NOTE: other manufactuers devices may give a sound pressure level (SPL) at a very short distance to give the impression of a very high sound level, or somtimes no distance at all, which is meaningless. The conversion chart to the right gives a measurement SPL at various distances. In short, this siren is painfully loud at 1 m which is why a cable is provided to mount this away from human traffic areas. more about sound levels

PFA-S7 includes the power fail alarm with no local buzzer mounted on the plug box like the PFA-1 and PFA-2, instead the buzzer is connected to the siren alert. by a cable. (20 feet is standard unless otherwise specified)
