Holder for 9V Lithium Batteries
Some lithium batteries are larger than standard alkaline batteries. As a result, the 9V lithium batteries don't fit properly in the common chrome battery clips. This plastic battery clip designed especially for lithium batteries is sized to properly hold Lithium batteries with a pleasantly light insertion force but a strong enough grip so they don't come out.
More advantages over chrome clips:
- Large flat surface area makes it practical to install with adhesives for faster assembly. Foam tape, hot glue, or PVC cement all work well.
- The larger footprint makes it clear where the battery is supposed to be positioned.
- Cheaper than chrome clips in quantity.
- Lighter than chrome clips. (3g vs 5g)
- Easier to insert and remove batteries.
Note: fits Utralife model U9VL (17.1mm wide, with metal case) but not the model U9VL (16.5mm, plastic case).
